This licorice is truly quite unique. There is a definite gritty sweetness that adds an extraordinary dimension of texture and taste unlike any of the other sweet licorice pieces. They are more jelly-like than licorice in the sense of lightness and they have a distinct anise flavor that is quite enjoyable!
